About Stockyard Gallery

Stockyard Gallery opened in 1991 and is run by a dedicated volunteer group of local artists and craftspeople. The gallery is situated in Foster, a small town in the middle of South Gippsland dairy country and close to Wilsons Promontory. Foster was originally named Stockyard Creek after the creek that still runs through the town. The gallery aims to provide a quality art space serving the community and visitors by presenting a rich diversity of art that inspires, enriches and stimulates life. Exhibitions change every four weeks and are a mixture of individual artist and collective shows. The gallery shop sells a wide range of items created by local artists and craftspeople including paintings, etchings, photographs, ceramics, woodwork, woollens, textiles, jewellery, books and gift cards. You can find Stockyard Gallery at the roundabout on the corner of Main and McDonald Streets, in the same building as the Visitor Information Centre and Foster Library. ...
