A unique railway museum featuring an authentic (circa 1923) Locomotive Depot and Steam Roundhouse. Entry is by voluntary donation and DVDs, books and souvenirs can be purchased from the main entry building. Barbecue facilities, toilets and rest areas are available.
The railway lines around Cowra have been closed by the State Government, but the Lachlan Valley Railway (LVR) regularly conducts special train trips around the State, visiting many beautiful and historic towns and villages. For these trips the LVR uses restored heritage carriages with diesel and steam locomotives.
The CPH Railmotors generally operate out of Cootamundra to various towns around the local area for the general public and private charters.
